Job Title: Software Programmer

Salary: £20,000 plus bonus of £500 per month after successful probation

Location: Leamington Spa

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Description:

A self motivated, proactive and friendly team player is required to join a well-respected and long-established professional services company based in Leamington Spa as a Software Programmer.

In this role you’ll be working in a busy software development department as a key member of the team working on a broad and exciting range of projects.

As a developer, you must be motivated to learn the bespoke application and bring forward your own ideas.

Responsibility includes translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application, and also take an active role in defining how the application looks.

Key Duties:

• Assisting with the ongoing progression and development of the inhouse software using a bespoke application
• Develop new user facing features
• Build and test reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility for UI/UX designs
• Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to back end
• Collaborating with other team members and staff
• Maintain and develop in house access database, debugging and fixing system errors
• Deal with staff and customer calls/emails regarding software issues, questions and errors using remote assist
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS/SCSS, MS Word and Excel
• A positive can do attitude with the ability to work independently
• A willingness to learn internal systems to expand knowledge
• The ability to analyse complex codes, provide methodical solutions to solve issues and improve application, functionality and efficiency
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Logical thinking and good analytical skills
• Good communicator and strong customer service skills

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £18,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits. ** Bonus of £250 per month from 6-12 months, and £500 per month thereafter
