Job Title: Recoveries & Negligence Officer

Salary: £23,000 to £27,500

Location: Solihull/hybrid

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with at least 2 days in the office

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-respected and long-established financial services company based in Solihull who is currently recruiting for the next talented and experienced candidate to join their innovative and energetic team.

Ideally looking for spmeone who is keen to deliver great outcomes for both customer and company. If you love research, report writing, the ability to question when something doesn’t seem right, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, then this could be the role for you!

Key Duties:

  • Identify and recommend a commercially sound based recovery strategy against a borrower, borrower`s estate, Limited Company, Solicitor or Valuer to recover debts due to the business in the most efficient way to minimise loss.
  • To produce a documented report for all reviews, accurately evidencing findings, assessment of credit risk, recommendation for course of action, including litigation against borrower and/or professionals, hand back of property, sale at shortfall, insolvency, dissolved Limited Company and deceased.
  • To engage with borrowers, professional advisors and other teams within the business throughout any review process to negotiate an acceptable commercial outcome.
  • To carry out administrative tasks in accordance with the obligations and responsibilities upon the team.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • An understanding of the mortgage industry and life cycle of a mortgage.
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence with the ability to manage challenging situations.
  • A natural multi-tasker, able to organize, prioritise and manage workloads with prominent level of accuracy and attention of detail. This will involve the ability to collate, review and question information.
  • Strong analytical ability and sound commercial approach.
  • Demonstrable problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
  • An enthusiastic “can do” attitude.

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of between £23,000 to £27,500 plus excellent benefits.
