Description:
Due to expansion, our client, a well-respected and long-established financial services company based in
Solihull is recruiting a Telephone Business Development Assistant to join their busy mortgage sales
department.
The Business Development Assistant is responsible for driving new business forward whilst building and
maintaining business relationships. You will also be required to liaise with the underwriting and support teams
to ensure service standards are being met.
Key Duties:
Establish regular contact with a pre-defined group of intermediaries who are not actively targeted by
the Regional Sales Managers and generate incremental business to support business plan, ensuring
that quality is maintained by building trust between intermediary and lender
Monitor and report on competition
Use intermediary feedback to recommend and assist in the development of new processes and
products
Liaise with the underwriting and support teams to ensure service standards are being met
Support introducers in an empathetic, confident and knowledgeable manner
Ensure all tasks are completed and delivered in line with agreed deadlines and service standards
Attend training courses that are identified to assist in personal and role development
Key Skills/Experience Required:
Mortgage market knowledge
Effective planning and time management
Proactive and self-motivated
Excellent relationship building skills
Problem solving skills
Analytical skills
Numerate with good attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills as close working with others in the business will be crucial
