Job Title: Portfolio Management Officer

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000

Location: Solihull

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-respected and long-established financial services company based in Solihull who is currently recruiting for the next talented and experienced candidate to join their innovative and energetic team.

Responsible for the management, review, and ongoing monitoring of an assigned tranche of customer accounts and recommending a consequential modified account management strategy, as appropriate.

The management includes building and maintaining a positive and professional business relationship with all external and high net worth customers.

Key Duties:

  • Manage and monitor performing and non-performing portfolios where the portfolio exceeds 5 properties, or the mortgage balance outstanding exceeds £1,000,000
  • Reviewing, analysing, and evaluating customer account activity and performance to recommend the appropriate course of action, including resolution of complex queries
  • Identify through pre-emptive review, desktop, telephone or face to face, portfolios that show signs of stress and be able to manage and resolve accordingly
  • To be constantly looking to identify trends and macro-economic factors which could have an adverse effect on portfolios, and identify those portfolios which, as a result, may have a higher propensity to default
  • To meet with customers and their advisors at the office/off site, as and when required
  • To conduct off site property inspections
  • To react at short notice to events which suggest an impending instance of delinquency
  • Be able to produce a documented report detailing an accurate assessment of credit risk
  • To participate in ad-hoc project work, as required

  • Able to work under pressure
  • Manage personal activity and pipeline to ensure personal targets are achieved
  • Build and maintain good relationships with senior management in relation to any risk matters
  • The ability to be able to present results clearly to senior management
  • Commercially minded
  • To largely work autonomously off own initiative
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills to analyse data

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of between £28,000 to £30,000 plus excellent benefits.
