Job Title: Event Administrator
Salary: £19,000 to £22,000
Location: Castle Bromwich
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm – permanent
Description:
Due to an increase in workload and new clients, an exciting role has arisen for a confident, personable and highly organised Event Administrator within a well-established events company in North Solihull. This is an ideal opportunity for the right person to gain training and develop a long term career in a busy and very successful organisation. Experience in an events role is not essential, however a strong administration background is required.
Key Duties:
- Working with the Event team to manage a number of clients and their corporate events, conferences and meetings
- Sourcing suitable venue options using an existing database and the internet
- Booking accommodation and travel for clients and delegates
- Keeping the computer system up to date at all times
- Updating Excel spreadsheets
- Preparing contract paperwork
- Sending booking confirmation correspondence
- Working within a team to ensure each event is a success
- You will be occasionally required to travel to attend events to complete ‘on the day’ duties
- Associated administration duties
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience of working in events/hotels would be an advantage but is not essential
- Multi-tasking and prioritising skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Lively, personable, confident personality with excellent personal presentation
- The ability to liaise with people in a professional manner
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic team member
- Your own transport would be advantageous
