Job Title: Operations Manager

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000

Location: Solihull

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – whilst our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch) we encourage flexible working, and your preferred options will be considered.

Description:

Due to expansion our client, a well-respected and long-established financial services company based in Solihull is recruiting an Operations Manager to join their business.

Reporting to the Head of Department, responsibility includes managing and guiding the Customer and Specialist Support Managers on a day to day basis.

Key Duties:

  • Management of all Telephone resource, covering Motor Finance, Second Charge Mortgages and Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances
  • Ensure that all practices undertaken by the teams comply with regulations
  • Set employee goals and objectives
  • Develop direct reports to maximize potential
  • Responsible for meeting assigned SLAs, internal productivity, quality standards and financial targets
  • Maintain operating models and ensure agreed procedures are followed
  • Manage 3rd Party supplier relationships and hold regular reviews of 3rd Party supplier contracts, negotiating costs, as and when appropriate
  • Process, Project, Change and Control Management
  • Provide technical and project management input into potential large-scale department changes
  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across multiple product lines, monitors regulatory environment and emerging threats and trends in the industry
  • Create highly complex reports and be able to present information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement report processes
  • Proactively manage absence
  • Manage department Customer and Specialist Support strategies

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in consumer operations
  • Prior experience working to FCA /MCOB/CONC guidance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of strategic planning
  • Knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures
  • Proficient in relevant software applications

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £45,000 – £60,000 and excellent benefits.
