Job title – IT Support Superhero (IT support Engineer)
Town – Olton, Solihull, West Midlands
Salary range – £25k – £30k (Salary will be commensurate with performance and experience)
Intro:
This is a rewarding, varied and exciting role with a small, well-established and trusted
MSP and solutions provider. As an IT support superhero, you will be responsible for
diagnosing and resolving technical incidents as well as guiding and advising our clients with
the technology requirements. This will be primarily done working from our office but will
also require customer site visits. You will be passionate about providing the very best
customer service and possess the right balance of intuition and resourcefulness to deliver a
top-class customer experience.

The role requires someone with excellent documentation and record keeping skills as well as
being analytical and have problem-solving skills. You must be able to work independently and to take own initiative.

Essential Skills
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in client facing support role within an MSP environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels.
  • Able to work with a team on projects
  • Experience in and enjoy providing customer service, building, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • You love learning and enjoy updating your qualifications and skills.
  • Configuring and managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Configurations and installation of structured cabling, servers and network devices.
  • Excellent knowledge of operating systems (Windows 7 to 10) And Servers 2008 to 2019
  • Experience of the installation and configuration of peripheral devices; e.g. Network Printers, ADSL Routers, firewalls, NAS’s and LAN Switches
  • A strong understanding and experience in deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting Windows OS (server and workstation).
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, Exchange and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of helpdesk/PSA/RMM systems and an ability to adapt to new software/programs.
  • Network implementation, management, and diagnostics
Desirable
  •  System and Network monitoring services
  • Backup and Endpoint protection technologies
  • VoIP and SIP
  • Backup solutions and management.
  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in Hyper-V– deployments, migrations and troubleshooting.
  • MDM (Miradore)
  • IoT and M2M technologies
  • Cyber Essentials experience and overall security awareness.
  • Knowledge of MAC OSX
Additional Requirements
As the role involves on-site working you may be required to frequently travel to client sites
around the Midlands. you may also be required to travel to any part of the UK on an ad-hoc
basis.
You must have permission to work in the UK, be a fluent English speaker and own vehicle
with appropriate insurance with a full driving licence valid for the UK.
