Responsibilities of a Compliance Officer – Equity Release File Checker

· To undertake case file reviews ensuring they meet the relevant standards set by the company.

· To liaise daily with advisers offering help and assistance with the processes and use of the back office systems. (The Key)

· Communicate with the compliance team regarding concerns/issues

· Chasing up any outstanding compliance requirements.

· To be able to identify any risks to the company/adviser on the advice provided.

· To demonstrate a common sense approach.

Requirements of a Compliance Officer – Equity Release File Checker

· Excellent communication skills and financial industry background with strong Equity Release knowledge

· Excellent IT skills

· Experience using databases

· Accuracy and good attention to detail

· Good organisational skills

· Must have CEMAP OR FPC 1, 2 and must have ER1 or equivalent
