Job Title: Completions Officer

Salary: £21,500 to £25,000

Location: Solihull

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch). There is hybrid working options with at least one day a week to be based in the office.

Description:

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-respected and long-established financial services company based in Solihull who is currently recruiting to expand their innovative and energetic team.

We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service experience who ideally understands the mortgage life cycle and completion process and is keen to build their knowledge in this area. If you can demonstrate knowledge of the mortgage industry and customer service skills, this could be the role for you.

Purpose of the role
To process all new lending mortgage applications from offer of loan through to the release of funds. Maintaining service levels and quality, whilst achieving conversion rates.

Key Duties:

  • Action all post offer incoming post, emails and faxes
  • Refer to and liaise with underwriters, surveyors and legal department as and when appropriate
  • Action Report on Title in line with checklist
  • Carry out high court petition searches
  • Release of completion funds
  • Handle all incoming completion enquiries
  • Communicate with and update solicitors on progress of the mortgage offer
  • Handle the post completion retention funds process

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Working knowledge of the mortgage industry
  • An understanding of the mortgage lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the mortgage completion process
  • Knowledge and understanding of legal issues relating to completion of mortgages
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Previous experience of reviewing and understanding valuation reports is preferable

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £21,500 – £25,000 and excellent benefits.
