Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Salary: £25,000

Duration: Fixed Term Contract – 6/7 months – IMMEDIATE START

Location: Shirley, Solihull, B90

Hours: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.30 – office based

An experienced Accounts Assistant, experienced in processing a high volume of monthly invoices?

Competent in reconciling supplier, client accounts and bank statements?

Previously worked within the construction industry?

Available immediately?

Working within a fast paced, busy role, your duties will be:

  • Inputting invoices onto VT Transaction- all invoices are then assigned to a specific category cost report
  • Reconciling supplier, client accounts and bank statements
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports
  • Raising invoice queries and resolving queries to keep on track
  • Verifying all subcontractor details – uploading new supplier details.
  • Collating and submitting CIS & VAT figures each month
  • Inputting approximately 400 Sales invoices a month
  • Processing expenses and logging VAT
  • Processing timesheets/raising instruction for wages to be paid on a weekly basis
  • Produce list of payment details every week/month
  • Sending subcontractor invoices over to the contracts manager for approval and tracking approval on the system in time for payment

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Competent Accounts Assistant with relevant skills and experience
  • Ideally experience in VT Transaction
  • Used to working in a fast-paced role and environment and working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent accuracy skills
  • Driven, able to work independently and within a team.

** This role is also offered on a Temporary basis for 6 months – starting immediately
