We are recruiting a VOIP Junior Telephone Install Engineer for our client based in Solihull. Our client is at the forefront of bespoke IT, communications and safety solutions for the education and commercial sectors.

They will also consider someone looking to start a career as an engineer.

The role will be to support the current engineering department, with installing and maintaining Hosted/Cloud based VOIP solutions in schools and businesses around the UK.

As a VOIP Installer Engineer, you will have experience with Hosted/Cloud based VOIP solutions (preferably used to using Yealink) and CAT5/6 cabling installation/termination. You will install and maintain our customer expectations of these, across our customer base. Having a passion for making our clients lives better, you will have great communication and organisational skills, being able to work excellently under pressure.

Previous experience working on NEC and Panasonic PBX’s desired, but not essential to help support the maintenance base of customers still using these systems.

Experience on construction sites installing CAT6a infrastructure desired but not essential.

Desired requirements will result in a higher salary offer for the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

The applicant will:

· Work directly for the client, supporting the schools onsite.

· Installing and maintaining Hosted/Cloud based VOIP solutions and CAT5/6 cabling.

· Support our schools and businesses, by network troubleshooting Wireshark/Packet Capture.

· Require resilience and knowledge in continuing to keep to our customers’ expectations.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

· To provide maintenance, installation and support of Hosted/Cloud based VOIP solutions

· To provide maintenance, installation, termination and support of CAT5/6 cabling.

· To complete network troubleshooting of Wireshark/Packet Capture

To be considered for this role you should have:

· Have a Full Driving License

· Experience of Hosted/Cloud based VOIP Solutions (Yealink experience preferred)

· Experience of Panasonic/NEC PBX

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent organisational skills

· Excellent inter-personal skills

· Excellent time management skills

· The ability to work excellently under pressure

· Excellent decision making-skills.
