Experienced part time PA /Support Worker Full time or job share considered, for a family with a with a 9 year old boy with ADHD, close to Illshaw Heath, Solihull. The occasional weekend respite cover may also be needed in addition. Starting rate £14 p/h gross. Our son is a bright boy who enjoys football, tennis, reading and trampolining amongst other activities, and would need support while taking part in these. When frustrated our son can present with challenging behaviour and become upset. You’ll need to be fit, strong and vigilant to ensure his safety. You need to be a proactive, fun and passionate SEN person who can provide fantastic support. You will support our son and sometimes his younger sibling, during his daily routine, assisting with personal care, playing and/or being outdoors and accessing his daily activities. You will assist us in organising fun activities and outings. You will be confident in managing behaviour, calming strategies, following plans and implementing them into our son’s everyday life. You will have the ability to take direction and work alongside others, including his parents, but also be able to use your own initiative to identify barriers to learning and being able to creatively solve them is essential.
