We’re looking to recruit a full time sales assistant for our family run lighting shop based in Hockley Heath. Working hours: 9 – 5.30 5 days a week including Saturdays, with Sundays and a day off during the week. Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential. Applicant must be quick to learn, easy to get along with and be able to take instruction. This is a customer facing role so applicant must also be presentable, approachable and confident. Although driving will not be required of you, public transport to and from Hockley Heath isn’t reliable so please ensure before applying, that you are able to get to/from work.You will be responsible for: Assisting customers, advising them on lighting (previous knowledge not necessary – in-house training will be given) Keeping the showrooms clean and tidy – this will include cleaning a lot of light fittings. Putting stock out on display Lifting/Carrying boxes (occasionally could be a little heavy) Taking customer orders/ensuring customers receive their orders Dealing with suppliers by phone/email to place orders/arrange deliveries/make enquiries
