Early Years Educator/TA required for home tutored SEN children. Full time or job share considered, for a family with a with 3 primary ages children with SENs, close to Illshaw Heath. The applicant must have an open, fun approach to learning Starting rate £14 p/h gross. Our children are bright and learn well, but have behavioural obstacles to learning due to ADHD and ASC. They enjoy a practical approach to learning, such as museums. They also enjoy sports, reading and trampolining amongst other activities, and would need support while taking part in these. Our children can present with challenging behaviour when frustrated and become upset. You’ll need to be fit, strong and vigilant to ensure their safety. You need to be a proactive, fun and passionate SEN person who can provide fantastic support. You will support our children during their daily routine, and may also assist with personal care where necessary, playing and/or being outdoors and accessing daily activities. You will assist us in organising fun activities and outings. You will be confident in managing behaviour, calming strategies, following plans and implementing them into our children’s everyday life. You will have the ability to take direction and work alongside others, including their parents, but also be able to use your own initiative to identify barriers to learning and being able to creatively solve them is essential. You must be able to drive.
The applicant must have an open, fun approach to learning and be able to follow our children’s interests, rather than impose a rigid learning system. This is a term time only position.
