Job Title: Credit Controller/Finance Assistant

Salary: £22,000 + bonus, excellent benefits including free parking

Hours: Full time

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Location: Shirley
Description:

Our client, a well-known brand, based in Shirley, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller/Finance Assistant to join their vibrant team. You will be responsible for efficient cash collection and reducing bad debt to a minimum.

Key Duties:

  • Contacting customers via telephone, email etc. to collect outstanding debt
  • Interpreting credit reports and taking necessary action
  • Work to KPI’s to resolve disputes and queries
  • To produce copy invoices, credit notes, final demands and legal letters
  • Recovery of debt up to Litigation level
  • Processing payments through ‘My Sage Pay’
  • Entering the daily cash (Cheques, Bacs and Visa’s) as and when required
  • Process purchase ledger invoices
  • Issue welcome packs/letters to new customers
  • Deal with general account queries
  • Any ad hoc duties when required

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Previous credit control experience or working within an Accounts environment
  • QAD Finance module knowledge
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office packages with intermediate/advanced level Excel
  • Positive and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
  • Basic knowledge of perusing and digesting credit analysis reports
  • Being comfortable in chasing debt by phone/email
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills with an analytical flair
