Job Title: Credit Controller (Temp to Perm)

Hours – 20 hours per week

Salary: £14,250

Location: Solihull

Description:

Our client, a well-established company based in Solihull is recruiting an experienced Credit Controller to join their business.

Your role will be to collect and reconcile credit notes and invoices owed to the company. You will be tasked to manage customer accounts, ensuring that new customers have healthy credit and existing customers have settled monthly accounts in a timely manner.

Key Duties:

  • Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
  • Responding to client queries
  • Keeping customer retention levels high
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Providing administrative support to finance team
  • Keeping close watch on debtor account balances
  • Reducing debtors’ ‘Days Sales Outstanding’
  • Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures
  • Customer relations

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • AAT useful but not essential
  • 2-3 years’ experience
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Understand finance systems
  • Understand finance ledger processes and actions
  • Sage knowledge useful but not essential
  • Conversant and confident with excel/Microsoft / ad hoc systems
  • Payroll knowledge would be useful but not essential
  • Persistent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Business Acumen
  • Diligent
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to get routine processes done quickly and consistently
  • Time management – to achieve goals/standards

In return for your hard work, you will earn a salary of between £14,250 plus excellent benefits.
