Job Title: Credit Controller

Salary: ÂŁ22,500 plus excellent benefits including free parking and 25 days holiday

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday with hours of working set as either 8 – 4.30pm or 9 – 5.30pm

Contract: Permanent

Location: Oldbury

Morgan Parkes is delighted to be working with a key client of ours to assist them in their search for 2 Credit Controllers to join them on a permanent full time basis

The roles report into the Credit Control Manager.

Responsibilities

Debt Collection

  • Chase outstanding debt, your time should be split accordingly to ensure an even coverage paying particular attention to 3 months+
  • Debt chasing can be carried out by telephone and e-mail.
  • Contact customers during the first 2 weeks of the month with regard to payment of monthly invoices, this process will quickly highlight any queries and over time provide a knowledge of ‘problemcustomers’
  • Queries should be immediately notified and where possible resolved within 48 hours, notification to be made by e-mail always to the relevant Manager.on Connect+ and followed up accordingly.
  • Ensure all debtor notes are accurate and always up to date
  • Improve debtor days and cash collection targets
  • Weekly age of debt review/update with Credit Control Supervisor/Manager
  • Early identification of problem/risky customers bringing them to the attention of the Credit Control Supervisor/Manager
  • Prompt notification to Credit Control Supervisor/Manager regarding any changes to customer details
  • Monitoring stock at risk and credit limits in conjunction with pre-set limits to provide system referral codes in regard to releasing orders.
  • Deciding if legal process should be triggered, always discussing with Credit Control Manager

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Previous credit control experience or working within an Accounts environment
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office packages with intermediate/advanced level Excel
  • Positive and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
  • Basic knowledge of perusing and digesting credit analysis reports
  • Being comfortable in chasing debt by phone/email
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills with an analytical flair

Please note these roles are office based Monday to Friday with hours of working set as either 8- 430pm or 9 – 530pm
