WE’RE HIRING – Coach Builder/Camper Van Converter We are looking for someone with some experience in building campervans, or the required skillset, to work alongside our experienced van conversion team from our factory which is situated at Meriden Works, Birmingham Road, CV5 9AZ.
Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative, be able to follow instructions and have good communication skills.
The successful candidate will be building a camper van from start to finish. As a skilled tradesperson, you will have some experience constructing purpose-built vehicles, cabinet making or Kitching fitting. You’ll be a numbers person with an ability to interpret plans and instructions, as well as possessing high technical knowledge in the fabrication of various materials including timber, plastics, glass fibre and steel.
The successful candidate will work as part of a friendly, experienced team and cover the entire fit-out process. This starts at the pre fit out stage, stripping back the van to its shell, before beginning the conversion process into a bespoke camper van, demonstrating the ability to produce a high level of workmanship both as a team member and an individual.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
· Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, coach building, boat building, or mechanics.
· A passion for crafting high-quality products.
· Excellent attention to detail and precision in your work.
· Ability to interpret written instructions, technical drawings and work independently or as part of a team.
· Competent use of hand and power tools
· Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
· Physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials.
· A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow within the company.
Essential Skills
You will possess transferable skills, such as accuracy, consistency, common-sense and efficiency and should have a diligent approach to your work. On a personal level you will be positive, flexible, co-operative and be able to work to instructions provided by a line manager.
You must have a clean driving license, a minimum of 3 years.
