Childcare Apprentice (25-30 hours per week approx)

This is a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity for someone who is genuinely looking to start their career in childcare and wants to develop their training needs in the Early Years.

AP Childminding is a home-based setting with children aged between 9 months – 6 years and we provide excellent childcare, with a strong emphasis on nurturing our little ones.

We need someone who is super caring with warm arms that can offer hugs when needed.

Knowledge of some nursery rhymes is essential as is the ability to go from pretending to be a fairy to flying to the moon! If you can read stories in ‘funny voices’ it’s a bonus!

You’ll be supported by a fantastic team and work to create wonderful play and learning opportunities for the children.

We require someone who is absolutely passionate about working with children long term and who is super confident, responsible, committed and extremely reliable. Bags of energy is a must.

Some experience of working with children is ideal, however, it is paramount that the person has a bubbly nature with bags of energy and initiative.

We offer a one-year apprenticeship programme where you can gain a recognised childcare qualification, plus lots of external training and support. Successful apprentices may be offered a permanent contract once qualified.

Salary will be the national apprentice wage.
